Health is a subjective state of mental, physical and social well being where infirmity and illness are absent from the person. It involves all the three domains – mental, physical and social. People who think well of themselves, have high self-esteem and are happy with life are healthy. People who feel bad about themselves, are unhappy with life and do not think well of themselves are sick. A healthy person has the capacity to make decisions, can work without constraint and take responsibility for his own actions.

Every individual’s health is an individual matter. The only thing that should concern each person is his/her own mental health. A person should have the capacity to make decisions and be responsible for his/her actions. A person should be happy with his/her own life and not unhappy with it. A person should be capable of taking initiative and be able to achieve success in life. A person should have the ability to accept and be proud of his/her achievements.

The doctor will be able to tell a person’s health status and provide various treatment options. The doctor will also be able to give recommendations regarding the person’s future health and lifestyle. The doctor may prescribe medicines and prescribe lifestyle changes for the person.

Medical conditions may arise in a person which require immediate care. Some of these conditions may be life-threatening and may require immediate medical attention. A person’s lifestyle also plays an important role in the health of a person. Some people go for extreme measures to improve their health and appearance. These people may have extreme diets that lead to weight gain and increase the risk of heart disease, cancer and other diseases. Others may try various home remedies which prove to be expensive and ineffective.
